Amanda Brown is a Registered Nurse with a clinical background in the Intensive Care Unit and has held specialty certifications in Critical Care. She has her MSN in Nursing Education and experience in the areas of nursing education, quality, and leadership. She has worked in a variety of healthcare organizations that involve interprofessional teams and collaboration. She is currently the Director of Interprofessional Education (IPE) at Chapman University School of Pharmacy. In this role, she spearheads all interprofessional experiences, including interprofessional specific courses, integration of interprofessional education within pharmacy program courses, and IPE co-curricular experiences.
Presenting at the Nexus Summit:
The purpose of this experience was to expose pharmacy and nursing students to leadership and patient advocacy skills within an interprofessional team. The experience allowed students to immerse into an interactive environment during remote learning through a virtual simulation.
