Annette is Associate Professor and Vice Chair for Diversity and Inclusion for the Department of Bioethics and Interdisciplinary Studies. She is the former Co-Director of the Office of Interdisciplinary Health Sciences Education at East Carolina University. She was a founding board member for American Interprofessional Health Collaborative (AIHC). She has been involved in many interprofessional programs and research projects funded by HRSA and Association of Prevention Teaching and Research (APTR) as well as Josiah Macy Foundation. She is a Distinguished Practitioner and Fellow of the National Academies of Practice and co-author of the APTR Interprofessional Education Assessment and Planning Instrument.
