Barbara Friesth, PhD, RN, is the Interim Director of the Interprofessional Practice and Education Center at Indiana University. Dr. Friesth leads the IU IPE Center and the delivery of the Team Education Advancing Collaboration in Healthcare (TEACH!) curriculum across Indiana University health sciences schools and partnering institutions across the state of Indiana on 9 campuses. Dr. Friesth works with administrators, faculty, and staff from participating institutions to strategically plan and implement interprofessional education and practice development.

The presentation describes the process and outcomes from a 5-year review of the Indiana University Interprofessional Practice and Education Center and focuses on the transformative changes that occurred in the Center’s work as a result. The evaluation goals were to assess the existing university-wide foundational IPE curriculum to determine if student and faculty outcomes were being met and assess the effectiveness of the Center’s current organizational structure.
