Carla Dieter, EdD, MS, RN, has been in nursing for 40+ years with experience ranging from clinical practice as an RN as well as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Adding to her clinical practice, she has been an educator for 30+ years with experience in the classroom, clinical practice, and administration. Carla has served in numerous leadership positions including Coordinator of the Family Nurse Practitioner program at South Dakota State University and as Chair of Nursing at The University of South Dakota.

Carla is also the past chair, and it currently on the Advisory Board, for the South Dakota Nexus, also referred to as the South Dakota Interprofessional Practice & Education Collaborative (SD-IPEC), and Professor Emeritus, Department of Nursing at The University of South Dakota.
