Dr. McDermott is the Corporate Director of Professional Nursing Practice for Emory Healthcare where she provides leadership for Emory Healthcare’s Nursing Residency Programs. She also teaches prelicensure nursing students enrolled in the InEmory program, a practice-academic partnership between Emory Healthcare and the Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing at Emory University.
Presenting at the Nexus Summit:
The Interprofessional Identity Program (IPIP) was created to provide a longitudinal setting for nursing and medical students to learn about each other and consider their professional identities as members of interprofessional health care teams. The curriculum was predominantly student led and presented virtually, and considered the aspects of teamwork, resilience, critical consciousness, and workplace culture.
