Dr. Cynthia J. Sieck, PhD, MPH is an Associate Professor in Family and Community Medicine in The Ohio State University College of Medicine and in the Center for the Advancement of Team Science, Analytics, and Systems Thinking, Catalyst. Dr. Sieck has over 25 years of experience in design and evaluation of interventions for individual health behavior change and health services research. Her current research interests include understanding and measuring patient engagement, digital literacy and equity, and use of EHR/PHR and evaluation of health behavior change interventions.
Presenting at the Nexus Summit:
To provide a community-based interprofessional education experience, we designed a pilot program centered on increasing digital health literacy among a group of older adults who served as Community Mentors (CM) to various health profession students. Digital literacy is the ability to seek, find, understand, and appraise health information from electronic sources.
