Donna Romano, is Manager of Mission & Values, Unity Health Toronto, Adjunct Lecturer at the Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing at University of Toronto. Donna began her Nursing studies at McMaster University, Bachelor of Science in Nursing, completing her MSc and PhD graduate degrees from the University of Toronto. Her 27+ year career has specialized in Mental Health Nursing, including clinical and hospital administrative roles. Her research interests centre around fostering effective interprofessional team work, and development of trust on health care teams. In a previous role, Donna was the inaugural Educational Scholar in Interprofessional and Collaboration at Mount Sinai Hospital.

Since Covid 19 hit our communities, providers have been challenged virtual team communication and delivering virtual service to clients and caregivers. Catalyzed by these challenges, interprofessional and interorganization collaboration have advancing innovations in virtual teaching and care.
