Elaine Ramirez is a 4th year medical student pursuing a dual MD/MBA degree at UT Austin Dell Medical School. She plans to go into neurology and dedicate her career to increasing access to value-based, multidisciplinary care for neuro-related disorders. Throughout her medical career, she has been an active board member for the Dell Med chapter of Health Career Collaborative since 2018.

Health Career Collaborative (HCC) is a national pipeline program that partners with medical schools to mentor high school students traditionally underrepresented in healthcare using an innovative curriculum. Studies demonstrate the success of pipeline programs in increasing diversity in medicine, which is necessary in addressing the equally diverse health needs of patients to improve health equity.
