Elke Jones Zschaebitz, DNP, ARPN, FNP-BC is an Assistant Professor in the Educator Track in the Department of Advanced Practice Nursing at Georgetown University School of Nursing & Health Studies. She has been in nursing practice since 1988. Dr. Zschaebitz's currently works in several primary care settings with a focus on primary care, reproductive health and hormone therapy for transgender patients. Her scholarship addresses social determinants of health affecting patients and families who have a loved one with autism, as well as patients identifying as LGBTQIA. Her current work with interprofessional educational simulation and virtual learning ties closely with her work in Telehealth addressing health disparities through the last decade.

This presentation addresses the selected theme 'Innovations in Interprofessional Learning in Education' and subtheme 'Online, Virtual and Technology Facilitated Interprofessional Learning' as the Virtual Interprofessional education (VIPE) program is an innovative multi-institutional collaboratively designed and subsequently facilitated online and virtual interprofessional education learning program led by an interprofessional group of faculty.
