Dr. Emily Dornblaser is an Associate Professor at the UNE School of Pharmacy with a clinical specialty in critical care. She serves as the Director for Interprofessional Education for the School. Areas of pedagogical and scholarly interest include reflective writing to improve clinical judgment, best practices in global pharmacy education, and interprofessional curricular design.

The University of New England and Rosalind Franklin University of Medical Sciences collaborated on a longitudinal co-curricular immersive telehealth experience via Zoom that ran from September 2020 through March 2021. Ten interprofessional (IP) student groups, comprised of 10 different professions took part in training sessions for motivational interviewing and telehealth before the simulation. The interprofessional team immersion (IPTI) is a longitudinal, curricular program that provides interactive and cross-professional learning experiences. Learning objectives are aligned with behaviors identified in the core competencies for interprofessional collaborative practice and aim to increase students' understanding of each other's roles and responsibilities, apply teamwork principles and refine communication skills for person-centered care.
