Erin Pauling, PharmD, BCACP is a Clinical Assistant Professor and the Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs with the Binghamton University School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. She is also a member of the Interprofessional Education and Practice faculty at the University. Pauling practices as an ambulatory care pharmacist, providing chronic disease state management in cardiology and primary care settings. Her scholarly interests include anticoagulation, diabetes, interprofessional education, and the Pharmacists’ Patient Care Process (PPCP).

Learning disruptions are increasingly common in higher education. From the COVID-19 pandemic emerged enduring lessons about how to effectively utilize technology to facilitate interprofessional (IP) learning and support mastery of the Interprofessional Education Collaborative (IPEC) core competencies.
