Dr. Feld is an Assistant Professor in the University of Kentucky College of Nursing. She is a Fellow in the Center for Interprofessional Health Education, Chair of Global Affairs, and leads efforts to engage students in global and rural health service-learning experiences. She also teaches Community and Public Health Nursing, several Global Health courses, and founded and co-leads the Health Equity Scholars enrichment program. Her research interests include maternal/child health, reproductive health, as well as social and structural determinants of health.

The education of future health professionals has largely focused on their ability to function competently within their country’s health system and practice at the height of their abilities in collaboration with professionals from other fields.
