Jeffrey Borckardt, PhD

Dr. Borckardt is a clinical psychologist, professor and assistant provost for interprofessional initiatives at the Medical University of South Carolina. His interests broadly relate to the impact of interprofessional teamwork on clinical outcomes, education innovation and research practices in academic healthcare settings. Dr. Borckardt is also the Program PI for MUSC's CTSA Team Science Program.

Every January since 2006 at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), first and second-year students come together to participate in an annual event called Interprofessional Day, designed to further develop a culture of collaborative teamwork and improve patient care and safety. Typically, students break into 70 - 80 pre-assigned interprofessional student groups that meet in locations across campus.
