Dr. Gambacorta currently serves as the associate dean for clinical affairs and is a clinical associate professor at the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. He is also the co-faculty director of Buffalo Outreach and Community (BOCA), a School of Dental Medicine organization dedicated to providing care to underserved areas.

Dental medicine students often rate Interprofessional (IP) educational experiences as a lower priority for their curriculum than peers in other health professions. This may be due to the lack of exposure to other professions in standard dental medicine curricula.
