Dr. Joy H. Lewis is a Professor of Public Health and Internal Medicine. She is the Chair of the Department of Public Health and the Director of the National Center for Community Health Research (NCCHR). Through the NCCHR she works closely with the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) to conduct quality research that considers the range of personal, social, economic, and environmental factors that influence health status. Her work focuses on underrepresented communities and vulnerable populations served by health centers and a mission to address health equity by improving health, wellness, and well-being.
