Dr. Hertz is an Assistant Professor of Surgery and Global Health at Duke University. His primary research interests are in undergraduate medical education and cardiovascular emergencies in resource-limited settings. At the Duke School of Medicine, Dr. Hertz serves as the course director for the Clinical Skills Training Immersion course for first-year medical students as well as the Longitudinal Point-of-care Ultrasound Curriculum.
