Dr. Julie Manz is an Associate Professor and serves as the Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Programs at Creighton University College of Nursing in Omaha, Nebraska. She leads the one-year accelerated baccalaureate nursing program across three distinct campuses located in Omaha, NE, Grand Island, NE, and Phoenix, AZ. Additionally, she leads the four-year traditional baccalaureate program at the Omaha campus. She has developed educational partnerships with clinical partners in all three campus locations. Dr. Manz is also a co-author of the Creighton Competency Evaluation Instrument (C-CEI), a nationally used instrument to measure student competence in clinical and simulation experiences. She received a BSN from Creighton University in 1998, a MS in 2005nfrom Creighton University, and a PhD in Nursing from South Dakota State University in 2014. She's been a nurse for 23 years and in nursing education for 18 years.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, vaccinating the population against the coronavirus has become a primary focus of public health practice.
