Kaleia Collins is a 4th year pharmacy student expected to graduate in May 2022 from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science located in North Chicago, IL. She is a graduate student researcher and is currently utilizing qualitative analysis to assess the performance of interprofessional student teams during simulated telehealth encounters. Kaleia's interests are mental health and interprofessional research and education.

The University of New England and Rosalind Franklin University of Medical Sciences collaborated on a longitudinal co-curricular immersive telehealth experience via Zoom that ran from September 2020 through March 2021. Ten interprofessional (IP) student groups, comprised of 10 different professions took part in training sessions for motivational interviewing and telehealth before the simulation. The interprofessional team immersion (IPTI) is a longitudinal, curricular program that provides interactive and cross-professional learning experiences. Learning objectives are aligned with behaviors identified in the core competencies for interprofessional collaborative practice and aim to increase students' understanding of each other's roles and responsibilities, apply teamwork principles and refine communication skills for person-centered care.
