Katelyn Brady, OTD, OTR/L. Katelyn is an assistant professor at St. Catherine University in the Occupational Therapy and Occupational Therapy Assistant Program.. She currently serves as the academic fieldwork coordinator. Katelyn has worked in a variety of clinical settings including, acute rehab, outpatient and acute care. Katelyn is passionate about preparing students in all facets, inlcuding clinical, professionally and emotioanlly, for fieldwork and a career in occupational therapy.

In preparation to become a healthcare professional, clinical experiences are one of the most crucial aspects of translating didactic coursework into clinical practice (Brown et al., 2016). It is recognized that students with integrated emotional intelligence (EI) are identified as performing higher at providing individualized, meaningful, and culturally sensitive care (Mckenna and Mellson, 2013).
