Keith Krolick, PhD, trained in immunology, receiving his Ph.D. from UCLA and performed post-doctoral work at UT Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas. As tenured faculty at UT Health San Antonio Graduate School, he performed immunology research for over 30 years, training numerous doctoral students. He shifted his emphasis from laboratory research to educational missions. He teaches both basic and pre-clinical science for PhD, MS students, and for medical, dental, and nursing students. He received the UTHSA Presidential Award for Teaching and the UT System Regents' Outstanding Teaching Award (ROTA), and was appointed as a UT System Distinguished Teaching Professor and as a member of the UT System Shine Academy of Health Science Education.

Background: The Quality Enhancement Plan at UT Health San Antonio, Linking Interprofessional Networks for Collaboration (LINC), serves as the institutional blueprint for transforming campus-wide interprofessional education (IPE). A key component of this plan includes cultivating knowledge and skills in faculty and staff to increase IPE opportunities for learners. This Lightning Talk will highlight a university-wide series of online interprofessional education (IPE) modules completed synchronously without direct involvement of faculty facilitators. 977 first-year students representing 26 educational programs participated in interprofessional groups of 3-4 in a self-directed manner using just learner guides.
