Kimatha Grice, OTD, OTR, CHT, Associate Professor, is an occupational therapist with experience in numerous areas of practice, but have specialized in hand and upper extremity dysfunction, becoming a certified hand therapist (CHT) in 1991. her 40 years of experience have been with adult populations. Her 26 years of teaching have been primarily related to the delivery of services to adults. I participate in the faculty practice of the School of Health Professions, providing services primarily in orthopedic outpatient settings

Currently, students have few opportunities for interprofessional education (IPE) in the basic sciences, with related curricula largely carried out in school-specific silos. We hypothesized that basic anatomy education, exposure to IPE competencies and hand sensibility testing (HST) may require interprofessional collaboration from students in medical (MED), occupational therapy (OT), and physician assistant (PA) programs to improve patient outcomes in their future health profession careers.
