Kira Rodriguez, MHS, is a Senior Research Associate at the University of New England's Center for Excellence in Public Health. Ms. Rodriguez has worked on evaluation and assessment of health workforce programs, health care providers and health systems for 20+ years. She is currently the evaluator for 4 health workforce/education programs at the University of New England including the Center for Excellence in Collaborative Education. Prior to her position at UNE, she worked as the Planning Director for a community health center in rural Alaska. She holds a BA from Brown University and a Masters of Health Science (MHS) degree from Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health.

The interprofessional team immersion (IPTI) is a longitudinal, curricular program that provides interactive and cross-professional learning experiences. Learning objectives are aligned with behaviors identified in the core competencies for interprofessional collaborative practice and aim to increase students' understanding of each other's roles and responsibilities, apply teamwork principles and refine communication skills for person-centered care.
