Leslie Lockett is the Director of the RN to BSN program at USF College of Nursing. With more than 30 years in nursing and 12 years in nursing education, Dr. Lockett’s experience includes practice and teaching in acute and ambulatory care settings for populations across the lifespan. My commitment to influencing the next generation of nurses by focusing on delivering evidence-based contemporary content within the program is at the heart of my mission in nursing education and is essential to prepare nurses for the future.

Background: Growing consensus among healthcare professionals supports the need for interprofessional collaboration and communication to support patient safety, patient and provider satisfaction, health outcomes, and reduce costs. At the University of South Florida, College of Nursing, interprofessionalism is integrated into the curriculum.
