Dr. Leslie Smith is a clinical Associate Professor In the Physical Therapy Department at the University of Michigan-Flint. Dr. Smith is Board Certified Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Clinical Specialist with over 25 years of clinical practice as a physical therapist. She has expertise in interprofessional education and completed a Fellowship at the University of Michigan Interprofessional Leadership Program in June 2017. She has published and disseminated work on regional, state, national, and international levels for interprofessional education.

Background:Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many IPE activities have been redesigned to accommodate virtual learning. Virtual platforms can help in engaging healthcare professionals from other institutions to provide more realistic representation of healthcare professionals from across the continuum of care involved in care of patients.
