Dr. Leslie Womeldorf, DEd, MSN, RN, CNE, is an Assistant Teaching Professor with the The Pennsylania State University College of Nursing’s undergraduate program. She has been a faculty member with Penn State since 2013. She instructs Community Health Nursing, Nursing Leadership, and Nursing Research courses at the Hershey campus as well as instructs with the World Campus RN to BSN program. Leslie coordinates IPE initiatives for the College's eight campuses She received her D.Ed. from Penn State University’s Harrisburg campus in 2019 in Adult Education with emphasis on health professions education and faculty development. Her areas of interest are interprofessional education for students and faculty, health equity, and cultural humility.

Although the field of palliative and end-of-life care is advancing, training pre-licensure students in collaboration and communication skills needs addressed. While trained in clinical skills, health professional students often begin their careers lacking experience and preparedness for intimate, patient conversations.
