Lori Phillips, DNP, RN

Lori Phillips is an Assistant Professor of Nursing in the College of Nursing and Health Professions at the University of Southern Indiana. She has a Diploma in Nursing from Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing, a BSN from the University of Evansville, an MSN from the University of Southern Indiana, and a DNP from the University of Southern Indiana. She serves as the Program Director for the Nurse Practitioner Residency program and as faculty in the baccalaureate, graduate, and doctorate programs. Before joining USI, she practiced as a Family Nurse Practitioner for several decades and has held leadership positions in healthcare.

• Educating future professionals in interprofessional principles are standard in medical and dental, as well as allied-medical and dental education. In developing the initial pilot curriculum in the Nurse Practitioner Residency (NPR) program, it was observed that a gap in the area of oral health existed.
