Vince Lepak is an Associate Professor for the Division of Rehabilitation Sciences. He has 27 years of interprofessional teaching and collaboration at University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and is the Director of Admissions for the Occupational and Physical Therapy Programs. During that time he has successfully instructed students, clinicians, and educators from a variety of fields of study (e.g., Nutritional Sciences, Audiology, Physician Assistants, Doctors of Allopathy, Social Work, Pharmacy, and Human Physiology). He is currently co-directing a course on Interprofessional Case Management, which involves interprofessional collaboration between Audiology, Nutritional Sciences, Occupational, and Physical students and faculty.

• Interprofessional education experiences are essential to transition the IPEC competencies from classroom-based knowledge to actual patient care. Active learning opportunities offer an important progression in the development of health care professionals by allowing them to practice the IPEC competencies. Fully integrated interprofessional teamwork requires service delivery by the person most qualified to provide the needed care.
