Manas Tiwari BPSH is a rising Senior Biostatistics major at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He received the Robert E. Bryan Public Service Award in 2021 for the work of the Carolina Covid Student Service Corps. During his time with the CSSC he worked to help control and monitor the COVID-19 situation on campus. He was in charge of the virtual volunteering teams which included Data Review and the Carolina Together Testing Program Email Team. He is also an active student on campus and is a member of Phi Delta Epsilon Medical Fraternity and UNC Hockey.

This lightening talk will highlight the best ways a community and academic institution can come together to address a health need. In 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic halted all health professional clinical experiences, a service learning elective opportunity was created for UNC-Chapel Hill medical students to support front line personnel.
