Maria Keelon is an associate professor in the Eastern Michigan University Physician assistant program. She is a certified Physician Assistant with 20yrs of clinical experience in Emergency Medicine. Ms. Keelon is involved with medical simulation education and interprofessional education with a focus on developing collaborative, patient centric teams. She has participated in interprofessional education since 2016 and has disseminated her work on state, regional and national levels.

Background:Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many IPE activities have been redesigned to accommodate virtual learning. Virtual platforms can help in engaging healthcare professionals from other institutions to provide more realistic representation of healthcare professionals from across the continuum of care involved in care of patients.
