Michaela Myerson is a Doctor of Pharmacy Candidate at the University of New England. She is currently a Longitudinal APPE student at Central Maine Medical Center and will begin an APPE in the Office of Generic Drugs and Bioequivalence at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in October. Michaela has done years of advocacy work for people living with rare diseases and has been awarded by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the U.S Department of Health and Human Services for her contributions. Background: In light of the response to the ongoing pandemic, 2019-nCoV, our interprofessional student team developed a multi-disciplinary plan to analyze and address best practices in client-centered care after evaluating failed performance indicators across education, public health, infrastructure, and mental health. Background: We believe that interprofessional education (IPE) has benefited our clinical practice because our experience taught us a collaborative approach to healthcare. We seek to understand if our experiences align with the broader population. We believe that interprofessional approaches to educating future healthcare leaders and an early emphasis on collaborative education can improve the delivery of services and patient care from future providers through enhanced collaboration with other health professionals.
