Misty Brown is a licensed Occupational Therapist. She has a B.A. in psychology from the University of Central Oklahoma and a Master of Occupational Therapy from OU Health Sciences Center. She has been with OU Medical Center since 2014, where she is currently an Inpatient Rehab Supervisor. She also provides bedside care in the Trauma and Neuro Intensive Care Units. Additionally, she provides guest lectures and works as a lab assistant as needed for OU Health Sciences Center.

Interprofessional education (IPE) experiences prepare students to translate their professional knowledge into efficient, patient-centered teamwork. The intent is for newly graduated students to transition smoothly onto interprofessional workplace teams. Unfortunately, the transition of IPP teaming preparation from the classroom to the clinic does not always happen as smoothly as anticipated.
