Nicholas Fusco, PharmD, is Clinical Associate Professor and Vice-Chair of Education, Practice and Service within the Department of Pharmacy Practice at the University at Buffalo School of Phamacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. He practices and teaches in the area of acute care pediatrics. His clinical scholarship is in the area of pediatric infectious diseases. His scholarship of teaching and learning is in the area of interprofessional educaton.

Helping students to develop creative problem-solving skills and to work with other professions to come up with novel solutions is a key part of interprofessional collaboration (IPC). Innovation sprints are considered to be a novel pedagogy where small, diverse groups of students gather to find innovative solutions to problems within a given field.
