Nicole Rouhana, PhD, FACNM, FNP-BC is an Assistant Professor and the Director of Graduate Programs with the Binghamton University, Decker College of Nursing and Health Sciences. She is a founding member of Interprofessional Education and Practice (IPE) faculty at the University. For the last 25 years, Rouhana has initiated and developed nurse-midwifery programs, ensuring interprofessional content in both the clinical and didactic components in addition to fostering the advancement of interprofessional teams in community settings to enhance maternal-child outcomes. Her research focuses on parents' attitudes regarding the immunization of their male children against the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine.

Learning disruptions are increasingly common in higher education. From the COVID-19 pandemic emerged enduring lessons about how to effectively utilize technology to facilitate interprofessional (IP) learning and support mastery of the Interprofessional Education Collaborative (IPEC) core competencies.
