Dr. Maisano has been an Assistant Professor in The Fran and Earl Ziegler College of nursing at The University of Oklahoma in the graduate programs in the MSN-Education, MSN-Administration/Management, and the DNP in Executive Leadership tracks since January, 2012. Prior to entering the academic arena, Dr. Maisano served in a variety of staff, management, and leadership roles at Saint Francis Health System in Tulsa, Oklahoma for 34 years. Dr. Maisano’s research interests include adolescent pregnancy, high risk maternity care, and student success.

Presenting at the Nexus Summit:

This project addresses the conference theme of “Innovations in Interprofessional Learning: in Practice and/or Education.” Students who desire leadership positions or in various health administration programs often do not work together until they have graduated and are working in healthcare settings. This is a disadvantage for them when they work in resolving urgent matters within healthcare.
