My name is Sadie Trammell Velasquez, MD, and I am an Associate Professor at the University of Texas Health San Antonio. As co-director of the longitudinal clinical skills course at the University of Texas Health San Antonio, I have collaborated with the schools of nursing and dentistry to successfully implement Interprofessional Education (IPE) into the curriculum. I was awarded the Linking Interprofessional Network Collaboration (LINC) Seed Grant in 2019 and 2020 as the Principal Investigator, presenting the first grant results at the University of Texas Shine Conference in 2020 and NEXUS 2020. A member of the LINC Didactic IPE Initiative, I am an active participant in increasing IPE in a strategic manner at UT Health San Antonio. I maintain an active clinical service on teaching and non-teaching inpatient Medicine services and in Obesity Medicine.
