Sarah Peterson is a 2nd year medical student at Washington State University. She attended Gonzaga University, earning her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Psychology. She then moved to Cleveland, Ohio to attend Case Western Reserve University completing a Master of Science in Applied Anatomy and subsequently attended Kent State University, obtaining her Master of Public Health. Her research interests include perceptions surrounding death and dying, opioid use education, as well as the correlation between sleep, autism and neuroplasticity. Sarah’s background includes working as a Research Coordinator on clinical trials and as Research Assistant on a grant.

Background: Death Over Dinner (DoD) for Healthcare Professionals (https://deathoverdinnerhealthcare.org) is a free, open access website that was created as a resource for healthcare workers to connect around the subjects of death and dying, and to help them process the grief and stress that comes with caring for patients at the end of life.
