Suzanne holds a Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) in Health Promotion and Education and serves the College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. As a public health educator she leads, organizes, and collaborates with a diverse population; has designed, implemented, promoted, and evaluated health promotion initiatives. She has also assisted in research and development of grant applications and writing of proposals. Suzanne has facilitated in the university’s Interprofessional Education Program (IPE) which provides didactics, simulation, and experiential opportunities for over 550 health care professions every year. She also serves on the IPE and the university’s Social Determinants of Health steering committees.

Addressing the Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) has been shown to improve patient outcomes while decreasing healthcare costs, both of which contribute to WHO’s Quadruple Aim. Interprofessional education (IPE) is a critical component in the learning process for healthcare professionals to be prepared to address clients’ unmet SDOH needs.
