Susan M Fosnight is a Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice at Northeast Ohio Medical University with a joint appointment as a Clinical Lead Pharmacist in Geriatrics at the Department of Pharmacy at Summa Health System. Sue provides clinical pharmacy services to both inpatients and outpatients at Summa Health System. She serves as a consultant to the geriatric consultant service and provides care to the High Intensity Clinic as well as the House Calls service patients. Sue provides education to pharmacy, medicine, and nursing students. She serves as the pharmacist resource for the Geriatric Workforce Enhancement Grant.

By the end of this seminar, learners will gain knowledge of a multi-step method for designing a virtual interactive interprofessional education (IPE) event, gain skills for creating a virtual IPE applying the multi-step method, and gain skills and strategies for overcoming common barriers associated with implementing an IPE.   Teamwork competencies are inconsistently taught across the health professions, potentially causing a disconnect between education and practice.
