Tsveti Markova is a Professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Public Health Sciences with two decades of progressive leadership responsibilities at Wayne State University School of Medicine, most recently as the Endowed Chair of the DFMPHS and Senior Associate Dean for Graduate Medical Education. Dr. Markova is the Lead Co-Principal Investigator of the Michigan Area Health Education Center (AHEC).Throughout her career, she has designed and implemented innovative initiatives to advance medical education and research in the areas of learning environment, interprofessional education, and health care disparities. She was instrumental in founding the state funded MIDOCS program.
