Uditha Wijesuriya is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at University of Southern Indiana. Before Uditha joined USI in fall 2016, he was an Assistant Professor at Texas A&M University. He has been teaching both theoretical and applied statistics. Uditha received PhD in Statistics and MS in Mathematical Sciences from University of Texas at Dallas, MS in Statistics from Sam Houston State University, PG Dip in Industrial Mathematics and BSc in Mathematics from University of Peradeniya. His research interests include statistical depth functions in nonparametric statistics and exploratory data analysis. He plays music instruments during his spare-time.

• Educating future professionals in interprofessional principles are standard in medical and dental, as well as allied-medical and dental education. In developing the initial pilot curriculum in the Nurse Practitioner Residency (NPR) program, it was observed that a gap in the area of oral health existed.
