Vy Tran Plata is a 4th-year medical student at the University of Michigan Medical School applying into Internal Medicine/Primary Care. She graduated from Stanford University with a B.A. in Human Biology focusing on Creativity, Innovation, and Change, and an M.S. in Community Health and Prevention Research. She is a Dalai Lama Fellow, a Spiritual Ecology Fellow, and a Fulbright-Garcia Robles Scholar, all of which reflect her interdisciplinary work in optimizing health from a community-based approach, an environmental justice lens, and scientific discovery. As a future physician, she aspires to co-create programs and policies with patients and local communities to overcome behavioral and systemic challenges in their environment.
