Dr. Diana Heiman is Vice Chair for Academic and Faculty Affairs in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. She formerly was the Residency Director of the East Tennessee State University Johnson City Family Medicine Residency and the Assistant Dean for GME/Well-Being at East Tennessee State University.

The Empathy, Grace and Equity 2-part curriculum emerged from feedback from medical residents who expressed a desire to learn more about how to address biased behavior among healthcare providers, students, and patients.
