I have been with MUSC since 9/2015. I currently serve as the Director of Operations of MUSC Health Community Testing and Vaccinations. I am also the Ambulatory Safety and Emergency Manager for the Health system. I also serve as the Emergency Response Management Course Instructor in the Office of Inter-professional Initiatives at the Medical University of South Carolina. Bachelors Degree in Occupational Health and Safety from Columbia Southern University. Currently standing with Multiple Professional certifications in Risk Management, Safety, Business Continuity, and Emergency management. (CRMP, CBCP, CHSP, CEDP) Developed first Drive through testing/vaccination site coupled with virtual urgent care care for COVID on the east coast. Developed the mobile testing/vaccination process for MUSC Health and the State of South Carolina. Previously a Professional Structural fire fighter - EMT-B for 15 years and have been a leader with City and County Departments in Fire, EMS, Police and Emergency management. Worked with the South Carolina Fire Marshals Office in the office of Community Risk Reduction fire prevention education and supporting at risk community agencies with Fire Safety Education and Fire fatality Investigation.

Presenting at the Nexus Summit:

During the 2020-2021 academic year, we offered a new interprofessional course, “Emergency Response Management”. The course was extremely popular: 160 students enrolled in the Fall and 100 in the Spring. As facilitators for the course, we developed numerous group activities that appeared to be relevant and what we hoped would be interesting, motivating, and fun.
