Dr. Neufeld serves as Co-Leader of the Cancer Biology Program at The University of Kansas Cancer Center, facilitating cross-campus interactions to strengthen research initiatives. She co-developed a course, Carcinogenesis and Cancer, to integrate cancer education across campuses via distance learning. She designed and teaches the courses “Molecular Biology of Cancer” for undergraduates and “Cancer Biology” for graduate students at KU. She has received numerous awards for teaching excellence and has served as PI and co-PI for multiple RO1 and P01 grants from NIH/NCI and NSF. Her research is focused on understanding basic colon biology in normal and diseased states.
