Mario Jacomino, M.D., M.P.H. is an associate professor at Florida Atlantic University Schmidt College of Medicine. He is a pediatrician with public health background. Prior to joining FAU in 2010, Dr. Jacomino worked with the Florida Department of Health in Palm Beach County and functioned as the medical director for two public health clinics. He has volunteered his time as a Pediatrician at Caridad Center in Boynton Beach, FL for over 20 years, serving the needs of underrepresented families in the community. He received the Community Outreach Wellness Prevention Hero Award from the Palm Beach County Medical Society in 2019.

This academic year, Florida Atlantic University’s Office of Interprofessional Education and Practice, with their Colleges of Medicine, Nursing, and School of Social Work, and Palm Beach Atlantic University’s School of Pharmacy successfully launched interprofessional videoconferencing sessions with local older adult mentors in a program to promote healthy aging.
